A sparkling homemade ice tea that makes any aperitif just that little bit more special. Light, fresh, and fruity. Ideal as a healthy thirst quencher or a festive mocktail that everyone can toast to. ✨
This is what you need
- 2 bags of Marie Gold
- 1.5 l water
- 750 ml sparkling apple juice
- 1 Granny Smith apple
- 1 lime
- 1 lemon
- 1 orange
- 5 sprigs of fresh thyme
- ice cubes
This is how you prepare it
Bring 500 ml of water to a boil and steep the tea bags for 10 minutes. Then add the remaining water, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill. Thinly slice the apple, lime, lemon, and orange. Add them to the cooled tea along with the thyme and steep for another half hour.
Fill a pitcher with ice cubes, pour in the tea, and serve in glasses: half iced tea, half sparkling apple juice. Garnish with a slice of lime or lemon.
