Date bread with nuts

Treat yourself to a healthy and flavorful start to your day with this delicious date bread, enriched with nuts and the irresistible crunch of XAVIES' Pure Toasted Granola. The sweet dates combine beautifully with the nutritious spelt flour and the spicy hint of speculoos spices. Ideal for a healthy breakfast, a cozy brunch, or simply as a snack with a cup of tea.

This is what you need

  • 200 g dates
  • 300 g spelt flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon speculaas spices
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tbsp date syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 g Pure Toasted Granola
  • 1 pinch of out

This is how you prepare it

Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.

Pit the dates and soak them in warm water for at least five minutes to soften them slightly. In a large bowl, combine the spelt flour with the speculaas spices, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.

Then add the lemon juice, date syrup, and vanilla extract and stir until smooth. Drain the dates and mix them into the batter along with the Pure Toasted Granola.

Pour into the baking pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool before slicing and enjoy every slice.

Delicious with a layer of nut butter or some fresh fruit slices. Perfect for a festive start to your day.
